Clubs & Societies

The hockey society was formed to develop hockey skills in a non-competitive environment.

Each week there is a focus on a skill which helps to develop people as players with fun games and organised drills. With numbers permitting friendly fixtures are being organised this is with Lincoln Hockey club and University of Lincoln. Training happens on a Monday at Yarborough Leisure Centre Astro pitch between 6-7 pm and Tuesday 4-5 pm in the sports hall, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you only non-marking shoes are permitted in the sports hall. All abilities are welcome whether you have played or would like to learn a new sport hockey society is for you. Equipment is provided, we provide sticks which is all you need to have a fun session. Players are recommended to have shin pads and a gum shield for protection due to the competitive nature of hockey and the weight of the ball. The sessions are free and sessions are coached by two Lincoln Hockey Club players.
